Old Seven Mile Bridge - begins at MM 47 in Marathon. This bridge connects Marathon to the Lower Keys and is the home to the Seven Mile Bridge Run and the world's longest Fishing Pier. 

Sombrero Country Club - MM 50 on Sombrero Road in Marathon. A private Country Club - but will honor other clubs' memberships. 

Sombrero Beach - MM 50 in Marathon. Public park, playground, restrooms, covered picnic area, excellent swimming. 

Pigeon Key - a four-acre island located 2.2 miles west of Marathon. Served as a construction and maintenance camp for the railroad. Today it is operated by a nonprofit local organization dedicated to preserving the history and environment of the Keys through education and research .

Blue Hole & lack Watson Nature Trail - MM 30.5 in Big Pine Key. Blue Hole is a freshwater sinkhole which is inhabited by alligators and turtles, Observation area and small walking trail. 100 yards ahead lies the lack Watson Walking Trail - a 2/3 mile trail with information on the flora and fauna of the Lower Keys. 

Coupon Bight State Aquatics Preserve - MM 28.5 - 31.5 in Big Pine Key. This preserve separates the mainland from an Oceanside peninsula. 

Great White Heron National Wildlife Refuge - MM 28.5 - 31.5 in Big Pine Key. Home to many migratory birds in the winter. Offers protection to rare and endangered species. 

Looe Key National Marine Sanctuary - MM 28.5-31.5 off Big Pine Key. A popular center for divers interested in exploring this underwater site. It was named for the HMS Looe, a British frigate that ran aground there in a 1744 storm. 

National Key Deer Refuge - MM 35 in Big Pine Key. Encompasses 2, 1 00 acres on Big Pine Key as haven for the deer. 

Watson Hammock on the National Key Deer Refuge - in Big Pine Key. The Hammock is closed to all visitors during the spring Key deer fawning season. During the rest of the year, the area may be accessed by land or water.
